About me

My name is Sue.......and the picture is of me with my inspiration and motivation....my grand daughters...

A few years ago I did what a lot of people do when they reach a certain age....I took stock of my life. I have the most perfect life....a husband who I adore and who would move the world for me....three fabulous sons that I love with all my heart...three amazing daughters in law who bring such joy to my life....and most importantly....those gorgeous girls at the top of the page who mean the world to me. I had lost my mother a few years before and my grand daughters brought me back from the edge of despair...that isn't being dramatic....its being real. They are my reason for everything.

It made me realise that, not only did I want to be around for as long as possible but I wanted to be able to participate in my grand daughters lives as much as possible...I didn't want to be the Nana holding the coats at the playground....I wanted to push them on the swings, climb on the frame and ride around on the roundabout with them...and don't get me started on shopping with Amy!!!. So I dug deep and found the strength to walk into my first Weight Watchers meeting....10 months later I walked out at goal....with a massive boost to my self esteem. Don't get me wrong....it wasn't easy....you all know that, but I managed it by staying at my meeting every week and taking away the messages given to us by our awesome WW Leader Leslie French.

I also spent quite a a bit of time surfing the internet browsing recipes and blog sites, the recipes were tweaked to fit into my Smart Points allowance and by listening to others stories I have been able to develop a few of my own hints and tips along the way which have helped to keep me focussed and make the weight loss journey just that bit easier.

I have maintained my goal weight for the last 2 years and have recently reached a second goal I set myself....throughout that period I received so much help and support from my WW friends and the wider online community, and having had a bit of positive feedback from people about my recipes and methods for weight control I feel that I would like to give something back. So I started this blog...if my ramblings can help one person stay focussed and meet their own challege then I'll be happy.....
Wherever I can I will give appropriate credit to other sites and bloggers but if I fail to do this it will not be plegerism ....it will be a memory lapse....my apologies if this happens.

I follow the Weight Watchers Smart Points plan so all of my recipes etc have a Smart Point value. If you do replicate any of the recipes please remember that if you change any of the ingredients or the serving sizes etc you should recalculate the SP value.

And lastly I would love to hear friendly feedback from you please feel free to comment or ask questions....

See you all soon
